Description

The IICRC-approved Health and Safety Technician (HST) course focuses on providing comprehensive occupational or workplace health and safety training for any industry sectors employing mobile service technicians. Unlike the majority of excellent health and safety courses around that tend to focus on the construction or manufacturing sectors, this course focuses on service industries using hazardous chemicals and that are predominantly mobile. It deals with international health and safety law and the Global Harmonised System (vital for product labels and Safety Data Sheets) which are not covered by most programs, as well as all the usual hazard issues around pathogens, slippery floors, working at heights, energy, etc. This course is specific to the Australian and New Zealand markets. This course will enable the participant to obtain IICRC-HST certification.

The HST course is suitable for any existing IICRC registrants who want to gain their IICRC Master designation in Cleaning or Restoration, and any individual who would like to become a health and safety representative in their company to meet the requirements of either Australian or New Zealand health and safety legislation. If you work in cleaning, restoration, hazardous substance decontamination, pest control or other specialist sectors, this is the best course for you, whether you are in management, logistics or out on the road.

The Decon Systems HST class is held over a 2-day period from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time) each day. The finishing times will vary each day.

Earn 2 IICRC Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for attending this course.

To receive your certification you must pass an IICRC examination. If you intend to complete the exam, there is a test fee of $70.00 payable directly to the IICRC on the final day of the course prior to receiving your certificate. The exam is completed in the classroom after lunch on the final day of the course.

Lunches and snacks are provided by Decon Systems.
